\nSometimes you’re in the right place at the right time. I suppose now that everyone has a camera on them at all times in their phone, this is less true now. But this was a non-digital camera, and I usually had it on me – particularly in the beginning months when I was working at 30 Rock. I found the whole area so iconic and so interesting, and it took me a while to “get over” the fact that I worked there. One day on my lunch break, the Marine Corps band was finishing up a concert in the plaza across the street from 30 Rock. I watched the gleaming glittering Marines – they almost looked like toy soldiers – carrying their gleaming horns – walk back to their bus. And this is the picture I took. Just one.
