\nThe building where I went to grade school is currently a Covid-testing center. It’s also been a daycare. It is no longer an elementary school. But the cement playgrounds surrounding the building remain. Swingset with no swings. Sandbox with no sand. It’s kind of a haunting place. A map of the United States was painted on the pavement – how many years ago I don’t know – but the colors haven’t faded.
