I came across the following quote this morning, in one of the obits I read. Leigh described her experience filming Touch of Evil<\/i>, directed by Orson Welles. I like the quote because it shows her generosity, her intelligence. The filming of the movie was a “great experience” for her, and yet she was disappointed with what ended up on the screen. She said:<\/p>\n “Universal just couldn’t understand it, so they recut it. Gone was the undisciplined but brilliant film Orson had made.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n She was 77 years old when she died. Her daughters, Kelly and Jamie Lee Curtis, were both at her side when she died.<\/p>\n Rest in peace, Ms. Leigh.
