It casts as long a shadow. The poster makes Welch &#8211; a small woman &#8211; look ten stories tall. She really did loom that large in the culture. She made it to the walls of Shawshank Prison, taking over for Marilyn Monroe. Welch&#8217;s career had far more interesting twists and turns than just &#8220;60s\/70s Sex Symbol&#8221;, although my God, she was IT at the time. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve posted this clip from <em>The Cher Show<\/em> before because it&#8217;s perfection.
