Culminating in a discussion of Jo\u00ebl S\u00e9ria&#8217;s controversial 1971 film <em>Mais ne Nous D\u00e9livrez Pas du Mal<\/em> (<i>Don&#8217;t Deliver Us From Evil<\/i>), never released in the States, inspired by the Parker-Hulme murders (beating <i>Heavenly Creatures<\/i> by 25 years). A haunting eerie film, marketed as horror\/exploitation, but &#8230; it escapes those confines.
