My goal in life is to be on as many blogrolls as I possibly can. <\/p>\n Not one blog on my blog-roll is safe. I am going to veerrrrry carefully go through each and every one of your blogs tonight, juuuuuust to make sure that every opinion<\/i> on each blog is in line with mine. Because if not? I must de-link you. Publicly. I will not contaminate my own moral purity with the disturbing disagreement of others.<\/p>\n In all seriousness:<\/p>\n Wizbang’s comments are notable<\/a> on this whole blog brou-haha:<\/p>\n Unless your name is Glenn Reynolds, the world is not preoccupied with the content of your blogroll.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n People who are obsessed with blog-rolls, in general, get on my nerve. I get emails all the time: “Could you put me on your blog-roll?” “I have linked to you a couple of times – could you put me on your blog-roll?”<\/p>\n No. I can’t put you on my blogroll. The only reason a blog gets on the blog-roll is cause there’s a slight possibility I might want to read that blog every day. I don’t do it because it’s good manners, or because someone asked nicely, or because I am on THEIR blog-roll. This is a meritocracy, baby. You gotta earn my respect. It’s not freely given. To anyone.<\/p>\n Besides: It’s my blog-roll – what the hell do you care?? Do you realize how stupid and nerdy obsessing on this stuff is?<\/p>\n I still think the comment on Wizbang is an exaggeration, although I like the sentiment. The world<\/i>? Really? The WORLD cares about Glenn Reynolds blog-roll? No. <\/p>\n The “real world” would say “Glenn Reynolds who?” and “What’s a blogroll?” <\/p>\n So it’s only a very small group of people who actually give a shit about Glenn Reynolds’ blogroll.
