I should take some pictures some time and post them.  It&#8217;s adorable and I personally think it has the best vibe in the world.  Especially with the advent of<br \/>\n1.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=1708\">The curtains.<\/a><br \/>\n2.  My <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=2759\">feng shui makeover<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However &#8230; the size is SUCH a challenge, and I am talking on an every day basis.  Like: every day.  I have to manage the encroaching chaos daily.  I have storage space, I have lots of bins &#8230; everything has its place &#8230; but man, one pile of books lying on the floor beside my chair, and it looks like all hell has broken loose.  In a cavernous house, you wouldn&#8217;t notice, but in mine sometimes I get tormented by my own belongings.<\/p>\n<p>Like:  STAY PUT, DAMMIT.<\/p>\n<p>Today: an orgy of cleaning and organizing.<\/p>\n<p>I have things I need to work on, stuff I need to do &#8230; and I just can&#8217;t do it in chaos.  I wish I could.  I&#8217;d be the most productive person in the world.<\/p>\n<p>But when my space is pristine and clear, it opens up space in my BRAIN.  I don&#8217;t look at the pile of books, or the hamper of laundry &#8230; and think: AH, MY STUFF IS TAKING OVER MY LIFE!!!  This, as I said, is all exacerbated by the smallness of my space.<\/p>\n<p>A sense of well-being and tranquility when I have all my ducks in a row.  When the shelves are dusted.  When the drawers are closed.  When the books are where they belong.<\/p>\n<p>Ready to get to work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My apartment is awesome.
