The fountain has been under construction\/renovation for what, frankly, feels like decades.  You haven&#8217;t been able to get to it.  It&#8217;s all been very controversial, as any change to any landmark in New York is (witness the brou-haha over moving the fountain in Washington Square Park).  But now you can get to the fountain, there&#8217;s a wide place to sit (wide enough for Bialystock and Bloom to <a href=\"http:\/\/movieclips.com\/mTEwe-the-producers-movie-ill-do-it\/\">continue running and skipping<\/a> through all eternity).
