{"id":5731,"date":"2006-12-21T09:41:14","date_gmt":"2006-12-21T14:41:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=5731"},"modified":"2015-05-27T08:37:27","modified_gmt":"2015-05-27T12:37:27","slug":"chekhov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=5731","title":{"rendered":"Chekhov Fragments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kate, Tim and I had a conversation about Chekhov this past weekend (with little baby sleeping on Tim&#8217;s chest) &#8211; Tim&#8217;s doing Astrov in <i>Uncle Vanya<\/i> &#8211; they&#8217;ve just begun rehearsals, so it was cool to hear about it, and cool (as always)to talk about Chekhov.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=3220\">Kate&#8217;s the one<\/a> who made me read the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0060928751\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0060928751&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=thesheivari-20&#038;linkId=3ASY4TQPC3RP7ETT\">The Plays of Anton Chekhov<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=thesheivari-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0060928751\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>, the Paul Schmidt translation that I adore<\/a> &#8211; and Tim&#8217;s production of <i>Uncle Vanya<\/i> is also using that translation, I believe.
