Now reading <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0300079044\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0300079044&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=thesheivari-20&#038;linkId=YOIFEYZCSBXW4FAH\">Selected Letters of Rebecca West<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=thesheivari-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0300079044\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/><\/i>, (one of my idols), and am so delighted to find them HILARIOUS.  Also heart-wrenching at times, and viciously incisive. She is so so funny on America.  Mean, and yet awestruck.  She loves it, she hates it, and what she hates &#8230; and HOW she hates it &#8230; DELICIOUS.  (One of my favorite quotes from her masterpiece <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/014310490X\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=014310490X&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=thesheivari-20&#038;linkId=USGQZB5YKSLUDGVZ\">Black Lamb and Grey Falcon<\/a><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=thesheivari-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=014310490X\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/><\/i> is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=1063\">this<\/a>. I agree wholeheartedly.) But it&#8217;s her comedic sensibility that really really pleases me.  I am laughing out loud reading it.  <\/p>\n<p>Gearing up for our nor&#8217;easter.  I got Internet back this afternoon.  Many people re-gained electricity today.
