Speaking of my most recent celebration of friendship<\/a> – came across this photo which is amazing, in light of how long ago it was.<\/p>\n

It was my graduation from college. My dear friend David was also in my graduating class. The rest of our friends would graduate the following year – so all of them were in attendance. And here is a photo.<\/p>\n

That is – from left to right – Maria, David’s girlfriend at the time – who is now his wife – a dear friend of mine – and David and Maria have two beautiful young daughters. I didn’t even really know Maria that well at the time this photo was taken … but eventually, when I ended up in Chicago – and David and Maria were there – our friendship took off. It is a huge blessing to me, my relationship with her. Just kind of wild to see her – so long ago – when I didn’t even know her.<\/p>\n

Next to her on the blanket is Jackie – whose cabaret night we all just went to.<\/p>\n

Directly behind Jackie is Antonio – my first boyfriend. Strangely enough, total coincidence Tonio and his wife and kids now live within walking distance of Jackie and her husband. A complete coincidence. But here they are … years ago … already connected. Amazing!<\/p>\n

Next to Tonio is Steven – Mitchell’s brother – lovingly referred to, by all of us, as “Stee”.<\/p>\n

And next to Jackie, in front of Steven, is Mitchell — the missing link in our celebration of friendship this past Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
