<\/a><\/p>\n\nStars in our Favour<\/i>, the new album by my brilliant cousin Liam’s band Dr. Mars, is now out on iTunes. You can check it out and download it here.<\/a><\/p>\n He is such an amazing songwriter (and always has been). Music is very important to our family, and many of the O’Malleys either make their living with music, or are striving towards that goal. There are rappers and classical guitarists and Broadway singers and folk-rock singers and we were all on display at our O’Malley Family Jamboree<\/a>, which was virtually Von Trapp-ian in look and feel. I remember going to see Liam play with his band at the legendary Rat in Boston, while I was living there. Dr. Mars is his latest incarnation and it’s been thrilling to watch it all come together. <\/p>\n So many good songs. I love “I’ll Have You Anyway” but my favorite track is “You Had the Same Dream Too”. There’s something about it, it got under my skin when I heard a rough draft of it. Something with the chord progressions, Liam’s voice, and the lyrics too.
