\n“Yes! I have less than 24 hours left of being 10 years old!”
\n“That is pretty scary.”

I know it’s daunting<\/em>, but I also know that our little man is up to the challenge. In many ways, it seriously does seem like only yesterday that I made my way to Beth Israel Hospital in New York, and sat in the waiting room with my parents and Maria’s parents, waiting to hear the news. Then Brendan came out, in his scrubs, rolling a little tupperware tub-like thing, with a small curlycue wrapped-up creature in it, with huge staring eyeballs – and Brendan whispered, “It’s a boy!” and we all flipped OUT.
