There was a field near our house growing up, and sometimes we would be allowed to walk through it to get to school. We had to dodge cows, and jump over a brook, and it was all very exciting for some reason. A great place to live in a totally make-believe world. Also, this was the heyday of Little House on the Prairie<\/i>, so you could almost pretend you didn’t live in “the Ocean State” when you were on that field, and instead lived out on the high plains.<\/p>\n

I am sure this photo of me was taken by either Jen or Katy, my kindred spirits at the time. I’m 11 years old or something like that.<\/p>\n
