I love this photo for many reasons. Its truly candid nature, the people it shows – my good friends from college, Rolt and Nancy – but also just the composition of it, the three poses, the spaces in between us – the looks captured on all of our faces – I think it’s a nice-looking photo in and of itself. Good job, Mum!<\/p>\n

This is my graduation from college, and we are slowly moving up onto the stage on the quadrangle to receive our diplomas. My father, in resplendent red robes and a big black velvet beret, was sitting up there, ready to step in when it was my turn to personally hand me my diploma. It was a really really special moment.<\/p>\n
