{"id":9007,"date":"2009-02-10T11:52:00","date_gmt":"2009-02-10T16:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=9007"},"modified":"2010-07-01T16:29:26","modified_gmt":"2010-07-01T20:29:26","slug":"movie-poster-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/?p=9007","title":{"rendered":"Movie Poster: <i>Shampoo<\/i>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s an example where I really like the &#8220;closeups of movie stars&#8221; concept for a poster, otherwise known as &#8220;big floating heads&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I like it because, unlike so many &#8220;big floating heads&#8221; posters of today &#8211; it actually does seem like these three actors are in the photo shoot <i>together<\/i>.  Whether or not they are is irrelevant. It could be three separate images blended together &#8230; but the appearance is not disjointed, like so many movie posters today &#8211; where it is so obvious that everyone has been Photoshopped in within an inch of their lives, and nobody is in the same space.<\/p>\n<p>But I also think it is perfect not only because of the stars involved &#8211; but perfect for a movie about self-involvement, image, yearning for connection, and celebrity itself.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"shampoo_poster\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/shampoo_poster\" width=\"500\" height=\"756\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s an example where I really like the &#8220;closeups of movie stars&#8221; concept for a poster, otherwise known as &#8220;big floating heads&#8221;.
