I also love the analysis by Mystery Man.<\/p>\n<p>Excerpt from transcript (S = Steven Spielberg, G = George Lucas):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>S \u00e2\u0080\u0094 It would be funny if, somewhere early in the movie he somehow implied that he was not afraid of snakes. Later you realize that that is one of his big fears.<\/p>\n<p>G \u00e2\u0080\u0094 Maybe it&#8217;s better if you see early, maybe in the beginning that he&#8217;s afraid: &#8220;Oh God, I hate those snakes.&#8221; It should be slightly amusing that he hates snakes, and then he opens this up, &#8220;I can&#8217;t go down in there. Why did there have to be snakes? Anything but snakes.&#8221; You can play it for comedy\u00e2\u0080\u00a6<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And I love one of Mystery Man&#8217;s screenwriting lessons:<\/p>\n<p><b> No idea is a bad idea when you\u00e2\u0080\u0099re brainstorming.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Something definitely to keep in mind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mysterymanonfilm.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/raiders-story-conference.html\">Go read the whole thing<\/a>.
