Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself then providence moves too.<\/p>\n<p>\nAll sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.  A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one\u00e2\u0080\u0099s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.<\/p>\n<p>\nWhatever you can do or dream you can begin it, boldness has genius, power and magic in it.<\/p>\n<p>\nBegin it now.<\/p>\n<p>\n&#8212; <i>Goethe<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As I have said repeatedly, someday I will tell this story.<\/p>\n<p>But for now:<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Faun_Alice.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sheilaomalley.com\/Faun_Alice.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nThe metaphor continues to aid me in, if not understanding the current events, going WITH them without needing to understand.<\/p>\n<p>And speaking of that, I saw <a href=\"http:\/\/cuteoverload.com\/2009\/05\/18\/this-just-in-under-the-desk-snuggling-has-moved-to-hallway\/\">this adorable item today<\/a>, and immediately thought of Alice and the fawn in the wood where things have no name.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.
