It really appeals to my OCD tendencies.  The side of the compulsive <i>collector<\/i>.  The side of me that is afraid of <i>losing things<\/i>.  I find it therapeutic.  People who love random quotes should definitely go <a href=\"http:\/\/sheilaomalley.tumblr.com\/\">check it out<\/a>.  At the bottom of each page, you can click on Older Entries to go back in time.  Quotes are something I basically collect &#8211; which is why I called it &#8220;Commonplace Book&#8221;, in imitation of Thomas Jefferson and all those other dudes of the 18th century.  It becomes, strangely, a reference library.  Yes, I have the books from whence the quotes came &#8211; but pulling out a quote from a book and putting it elsewhere, for easy reference &#8230; again, if you&#8217;re vaguely OCD you will understand the pleasure in that.
