<\/a><\/p>\nI absolutely loved this film from Argentina, and it was such a pleasure and a surprise to run into – almost literally – the lead actress, Julieta Zylberberg at Ebertfest. I saw her name in the program and I was like, “Wait … I JUST saw her in something, like, two days ago.” She was attending Ebertfest as a special guest, with the film Wild Tales<\/i>. <\/p>\n
So it was this moment of sheer small-world coincidence. I had seen El Cinco<\/i> at Tribeca the day before I flew out to Illinois – and then there she was in Champaign-Urbana, of all places, with another film! At one of the parties at Ebertfest I had a great conversation with her about El Cinco<\/i>, which, of course, nobody else there had even seen yet since it hasn’t come out yet or screened anywhere yet. It was really awesome. <\/p>\n
Anyway, who knows when\/if El Cinco<\/i> will get distribution in theaters. But definitely keep a watch out for it on Netflix or other online streaming modules. It’s really special. <\/p>\n
