I am addicted to Project Greenlight.

Not only am I addicted to it, but I find the show HIGHLY stressful and highly psychologically draining ... so I am addicted to something which wears me out.

What is Project Greenlight?

Project Greenlight is a show on HBO: Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and their movie-producer friend Chris Moore came up with a contest for first-time movie directors, and screenwriters. If you win the contest, then Miramax gives you a 1 million dollar budget (which is TEENY, in movie-making land) to make a feature film. In the meantime, the entire making of the film is turned into a documentary-show on HBO ... where you see these first-time directors attempt to deal with making their first feature. It's fascinating ... I learn something new every week about this business I am a part of. But, of course, like with all artistic people, the egos are fragile, the tempers are quick ... everyone has a lot invested ... so the entire show is tense, and filled with power-struggles. It's a very interesting glimpse into the realities of film-making.

But it also stresses me OUT.
