Bombings in Indonesia

Damn. Life moves on, you go thru the day to day, you deal with things as they come, and you forget that facts accumulate, that the evidence is right under your nose half the time. Or at least this is what happens to me, and I assume I am not alone. This is human nature. Very very few people can get up high enough to see a big picture, to perceive a continuum, to get a glimpse at what is actually going on.

Whatever. All this lofty language is my response to the NY Times' listings of all the recent bombings in Indonesia.

Cold hard facts on the page. Seen all together ... it's terrifying.

The story it tells is OBVIOUS, but ... it's just so hard sometimes to get up high enough to see what is going on. But we must. We must. The evidence is right there. Civilizations at war. The lunatics running the asylum.

I am so sorry for everyone who lost someone today, in Jakarta. I am so sorry.
