Newspapers constantly put quotation marks around words like liberation, terrorist, war on terror , not to mention many other more absurd examples.
And yet, in the recent articles about Pamela Lee Anderson's battle with Hepatitis C, they do not put quotation marks around the word Actress.
Hm. Something to ponder.

But you know, for all her airheadedness and annoying image, she's always come off like a really sweet woman, if a little shy in the smarts department. The news of her sickness is pretty sad.
Posted by: Emily at October 22, 2003 4:46 PMHeh. That's a very good point. She is not much of an actress. On the other hand, I do note that the story apparently came from "E! Online" and not a major news outlet. Perhaps this shows a "journalist" wrote it.
