Posted by sheilaOk, that is COMEDY. I relate most to the rules about emotions. I cry when I'm happy, sad, angry, frustrated, terrified (say, of a pigeon in my house). I believe I will print this out and pass out at the McNamara Cousins Christmas... featuring one new baby born to Mary, on 11/13, one due to Kate on 12/30, one due to Maureen on 1/23. :-)
Posted by: Ann Marie McNamara at December 19, 2003 02:45 PMI personally love the guilt part- I think my mother earned her Masters in "Guiltology". She is a professional, man!! I can only hope to someday achieve the same success with my children, Ceileidh and Conor. PS Ann- Tonight there will be nine children under the age of 11 in my house, as their is a wake to attend (of course, another Irish Catholic). These are just the spawn of THREE of us!!!!!
Posted by: Beth at December 19, 2003 03:09 PMI like the reference to the "walk of shame". HAHA
Posted by: red at December 19, 2003 03:11 PMUm, meant to write "there" not "their". And also, the reason the children will be here, is so the sisters can take turns going to the wake, because it is rude not to attend. My mom calls the obituaries "The Irish Sports Page". It's is the first section everyone in my family reads every day.
Posted by: Beth at December 19, 2003 03:11 PMThe walk of shame is hysterical. Mom always seemed to know right when she needed to get up to use the bathrom or check to be sure teh front door was locked. grrrr.
The pregnant before married siblings is also a crack up considering that several of my 12 siblings have pulled this one. However, we have violated the rule that a marriage must follow. (Thanks be to God.)
Oh such conflicted feelings about being part of a big (part Irish) Catholic family. Our lady of Knock, pray for us.
