Because of thermal expansion the Eiffel Tower is 15 centimeters taller in summer?

Posted by: Ed at January 13, 2004 09:59 AMI know men experience a bit of shrinkage with the cold- but I have to say that I always feel like I magically drop about 15 pounds once it starts to get really cold. It even feels like my clothes are loose around my hips.
I NEVER get that feeling of magical weight-loss in the dog days of summer.
Posted by: red at January 13, 2004 10:13 AMI think it's the baggier winter clothes that makes one feel lighter.
Posted by: Bill McCabe at January 13, 2004 03:46 PMBill, I beg to differ. I believe that my body responds to thermal expansion.
Posted by: red at January 13, 2004 03:50 PMIn that case, I am moving to Alaska. I believe I am a size 2 there, with that lack of thermal expansion! Yee ha!
