Did you know that ...

Because of thermal expansion the Eiffel Tower is 15 centimeters taller in summer?

Damn cold-weather shrinkage.

I know men experience a bit of shrinkage with the cold- but I have to say that I always feel like I magically drop about 15 pounds once it starts to get really cold. It even feels like my clothes are loose around my hips.

I NEVER get that feeling of magical weight-loss in the dog days of summer.

I think it's the baggier winter clothes that makes one feel lighter.

Bill, I beg to differ. I believe that my body responds to thermal expansion.

In that case, I am moving to Alaska. I believe I am a size 2 there, with that lack of thermal expansion! Yee ha!

With all sorts of delectable holiday sweets to be had and the reduced physical activity, I'm afraid winter generally goes the other way for me...
