Going to a movie tonight in Times Square - and I will see whatever film is playing closest to 7 pm.
Even if it's "Paycheck".
Stay tuned.
Posted by sheilaAh, Paycheck isn't that much of a dare.
Now if it turned out to be Honey...
Heat not fixed yet, huh?
Posted by: Jim at January 14, 2004 11:14 PMNah, no heat.
I now blog from beneath my down comforter. I'm a loser.
Oh, and I just couldn't bring myself to see Love Don't Cost a Thing. I just could not do it. The $10.25 would be better spent elsewhere.
So I stopped off at a second-hand VHS joint and bought Running On Empty (my #1 favorite movie of all time) and Searching for Bobby Fischer, another fave.
Just watched Running on Empty. Still weepy. Awesome flick. I would call it perfect. I don't call much perfect. The movie doesn't have one missed note.
Damn that River Phoenix. What a JACKASS
Posted by: red at January 14, 2004 11:28 PMHah, I had a feeling you'd wimp out!
Can't argue with your choice though - Running On Empty is a very good movie. It's been a long time - I'll hafta try to watch it again one of these days...
Posted by: MikeR at January 15, 2004 01:00 AMThe last time I did the "I'm seeing whatever's playing now" thing was when Waterboy, starring Mr. Sandler, was in the theaters.
I was scarred for life. For me, spontaneity at the movies has a dreadful price.

Now that I know you thought I wouldn't go through it - I HAVE to not wimp out next time. I will go and see Love don't cost a Thing if that's what it takes!
It saddens me to think what we're missing out with River Phoenix gone. What a talent, and to lose it so young and so stupidly.
Posted by: Laura at January 15, 2004 11:16 AMNow red, you're gonna make me feel guilty.
Maybe bad movies are like winters - if you never have to endure them, you can't truly appreciate the summers.
Running on Empty is an AWESOME movie.
