Isn't that photo incredible???

Your comment reminds me that I completely forgot to see Riding Giants while it was in the movie-theatres - it's about those surfer dudes who go out into the ocean, far far out, and surf 70 foot waves - getting pulled by jet skis up onto the crests ...

Like these guys are NUTS. But I so freakin' wanted to see it. And on the big screen, too.

Dernit.

I read about that movie. There some very brave (stupid?) guys out there looking for the hundred foot ride of a lifetime. I can't even imagine it. Something about sliding down the side of a ten story building while the building is falling down on top of you smacks of...well...the movies.

//About 15 people witnessed the attack and she was presumed dead, officials said.//

"Well...you saw it, do you think she's dead?"

*witness silently vomits*

"Oh...kay...then." *writing* "Presumed. Dead."

spd rdr:

I met a guy who "rode giants". It was all he cared about. He got this weird evangelical look in his eye when he talked about it. I GRILLED him for information. I would love to SEE a wave that big ... but from far far away of course.

There's something different in these guys brains ... I'm fascinated by it.

We need a bigger boat.

Yikes - Great Whites. Those guys are different. They always seem to be baring their teeth.

Riding those big waves is cool, but not that far out there, in the greater scheme of things.

I'm sure it's not that far out there ... but since I have a deep fascination and terror with BIG things (hard to explain ... I am drawn to the topics of tidal waves and hurricane storm systems and whales, etc. - because of their bigness) ... Anyway, the thought of actually seeing a wave 10 stories tall is terrifying enough. But to think of plunging myself down that wall of water ...

But what can I say - I'm a masochist. I'm scared of it but I am drawn to it.

My shark is your "s" - I can feel one swimming up behind me when in all forms of water - even a pool. Irrational fears are crazy man...well, until I see a photo like that!

There is nothing like a well-placed undated file photo.
