Where I been

There are some shocking gaps, when I look at it all together.

I WILL be going to Texas shortly. But to be fair, for now I've left it off, since I ain't been there yet.

Hi Sheila,

What part of Texas? Maybe we can get together when you come down here.

Where do you live?

Posted by: red at January 14, 2005 11:47 AM

Actually, Bryan - just put it in an email. I'm not gonna reveal my destination here on the blog.

You've never been to South Carolina?! You gotta go! I recommend Charleston in May-June time period during the Spoletto Arts festival (History AND the fine arts all in one place.)

I honestly don't think I've been to South Carolina - not even to drive through. My parents have been there and love it. Pretty much everybody loves South Carolina - everyone who visits there raves about it.

I also can't believe I have never been to Louisiana. There are a couple states out there I really want to visit.

Washington. Louisiana. South Carolina. Alaska.

I don't want to visit those states as much as I want to see Uzbekistan ... but that trip will have to wait. Probably.

I was in New Orleans Jan. 3-7. It was business, but it was still great. You have got to hit the Quarter, but there are plenty of other good things to see, do, eat, and drink there.

You haven't been to Alabama or Mississippi either! Like I told Ken, you are missing out on some stunning mobile home parks.

Posted by: Emily at January 14, 2005 12:55 PM

Yeah, I have missed that whole southern swoop there.

Ken, Sheila has REPEATEDLY promised me to visit New Orleans ASAP, since I find it shocking and nearly unbelievable she's never been there. Indeed, as a Tulane Law alum, I ALMOST find it perosnally offensive. ;-)

But Mitchell -

You've been undressed by kings
And you've seen some things
That a woman ain't s'posed to see
You've been to Paradise
But you've ... never been to me.

(Am I the only person who remembers that god-awful song from the 80s? Lisa?)

Posted by: red at January 14, 2005 05:29 PM

Good LORD. I remember it. Sung in a sickly sweet voice, right? What did that song?

Posted by: DeAnna at January 14, 2005 05:36 PM

OMG "WHO" did that song, not "what"!! Freudian slip anyone?

DeAnna, Preview is your friend. Preview is your friend. Preview is your friend...

Posted by: DeAnna at January 14, 2005 05:38 PM

No, DeAnna. I think "what" is quite appropriate in this case.
