Madeleine L'Engle quote of the day

This quote is from Madeleine L'Engle's non-fiction book "Circle of Quiet":

If I have something I want to say that is too difficult for adults to swallow, then I will write it in a book for children ... Children still haven't closed themselves off with fear of the unknown, fear of revolution, or the scramble for security. They are still familiar with the inborn vocabulary of myth. It was adults who thought that children would be afraid of the Dark Thing in Wrinkle [in Time], not children, who understand the need to see thing-ness, non-ness, and to fight it.

OK, time to get back into this woman's stuff. I need to have some of that wisdom rub off on me somehow.

Thanks again for yesterday's - I was so pleased.

I should tell you, I went into Barnes & Noble today and read He's Just Not That Into You cover to cover, standing up.
