100 greatest war movies

Thanks to peteb for sending me this cool link: a TV station running a contest: 100 Greatest War Movies. The results have not been broadcast yet, but here is the list of the 100 nominees. I'm having a lot of fun scrolling through, reading all the mini-reviews.

And to accompany the 6 hours of assorted interviews and film clips (split into 2 parts) they had The Dam Busters and Patton before and after part 1 yesterday.. with The Deer Hunter after part 2 tonight.

Re;
One of my favorite war movies-THE BRIDGES AT TOKO-RI(1954) did not make the list.This movie makes a powerful statement on the futility and tragedy of war, yet it also honors the sacrifices which brave men all through the history of our country have made to protect our freedoms.
