A VERY funny essay in The Washington Post by a blogger who feels a little bit taken over by his own blog (meaning the commenters.)
The blog is hungry. The blog will not be ignored. It is an insatiable little beast, a creature still unclassified by science -- hairy, warty, slobbering, with its own fiendish agenda. I often fantasize about killing the blog, but I worry that it will respond just like the crazed computer in "2001: A Space Odyssey": It will try to kill me first.
hahahaha
Posted by sheilaMy vacation without the Internet has taught me that I am in control, my blog does not rule me. This is evidenced by a reduced rate of posting, which has nothing to do with the fact that I don't see anything worth writing about.
Posted by: Bill McCabe at August 22, 2005 10:15 PMIt is sort of true, isn't it? If I don't blog for more than 3 days, I can hear sort of a rumble aort of happening from my computer. Like:
"Why aren't you writing? Dried up, are you?"
My blog speaks like a 1940's gangster.
But, it is true. Sad, pathetic, and true.
