Are you there, God? It's me. Sheila.

News like THIS makes me mad at you, God.

Sheila, it just shows that God has a sense of humour ;)

I saw that this morning and let out a pretty impressive stream of profanity. Talk about someone who doesn't need it.

I'm reminded of a Depeche Mode song.

Of course, one does wonder how much she has spent at the casino. If you look at the news, she has been reported to spend a great deal of time in the casinos.

I'm just saying. ;)

I had to smile when I saw that this morning. Actually, I think it's kinda comforting to know that whoever is up there really does have a sense of humor...

God works in mysterious ways, as they say, but this has to rank up there as one of His more inscrutable acts.

On the other hand, I wonder. Doesn't the sentence about Lopez's mother setting up college funds for her two grandchildren strike folks as a bit odd? Isn't an advantage of having a child worth $200m that one's other offspring get some help from said child along the way?

I have a hunch there is some sort of weird under-current going on here.

Aaron: There's a great old joke about the slot-machine player who wins a million-dollar jackpot.
The lights and bells go off, and after verifying the win, the casino hands the player a large oversized check. Yet the player is just standing there glowering; quivering; furious with anger.

Finally, one of the casino execs asks, "How do you feel?" The player snaps back, "I'm STILL down thirty-five hundred!"

I think it's pretty funny myself. However, I must agree with Red on this. Grrrr!
