Another Miss Jones poll

Last week it was movies you loved, (but were perhaps ashamed that you loved). Obvious choices for me are "Blue Crush" and Bring It On", but I can't believe I forgot to mention "The Cutting Edge" - one of the biggest shameful pleasures of all time!!

Emily's got another post up, where she wants you to share your shameful secrets - This week it's music.

I stll lsiten to Donna Summer's Bad Girl album on an almost constant basis. N'sync...and Phoebe Snow albums are also in fairly constant and no longr secret rotation.

Willa started as sort of a counter-culture Britney/Christina. Then she seemed to disappear for a year or two and suddenly came back grownupincredible! Still a bit counterculture...she's got a web site out here somewhere.

I am not ready to confess for myself, but my husband listens to Hall and Oates and Bay City Rollers. On purpose.

Ethel Merman's DISCO ALBUM??

Why do I not know about this.

You obviously don't hang out with enough gay men, Sheila.

Posted by: Emily at April 27, 2004 01:13 PM

I truly thought that I knew more gay men than straight men - but not ONE of them has informed me that Ethel Merman went all disco.

I feel betrayed.

Sheila,

This is why we were brought together, my dear. Think of me as your own personal Glinda.

ok, here I go. I listen to Journey and Bon Jovi. Joyfully. On purpose. Although, for the record, Steve Perry is gross looking (but man, what a voice!) while Jon Bon Jovi is hot. Extremely hot.

I remember when Bon Jovi did those ads for ... Levis, was it? Mitchell looked at one of the ads, looked at me, and said completely seriously, "His butt is like something from the Lord."

Posted by: red at April 27, 2004 03:50 PM

OH! I can't breathe!!!!!! Something from the lord!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Beth at April 27, 2004 08:40 PM

I saw Bon Jovi at the Providence Civic Center because of his butt. I didnt know any of the songs but i thought he was dreamy(and still do).

Posted by: Mitchell at April 28, 2004 02:22 AM

Mitchell- every time I think of "butt...from the Lord" i crack up all over again! I will never see that man's hiney in the same light again. GOD I LOVE YOU!
