This is my third year serving on one of the nominating committees for the annual Gotham Awards. I served on the committee for Best Breakthrough Performance twice, and this year, I was honored to serve with David Ehrlich, Alison Willmore, Tim Grierson and Alex Dowd on the Best Actor / Best Actress committee. REALLY happy to find, once we all started voting, how much everyone else loved Haley Richardson’s performance in Columbus too. I’m so happy she made the cut! (We can only vote, by the way, on actors whose names have been submitted to the Gothams by the film producers.) We also decided, as a group, to give a special prize for Best Ensemble to Dee Rees’ Mudbound. It’s such an ensemble drama and everyone is so good, it didn’t feel right to single just one person out.

So happy about my boyfriend. I just saw “Good Time” on Sunday and I was blown away.
?? Good job, nominating committee!
Wasn’t Good Time incredible?
And he was the driving force. I could not believe how he sustained that level of urgency. AMAZING
This sounds like a job for which you are uniquely qualified – I’m sure your insights are valued!
The Breakthrough Performance one is really fun b/c for the most part the people submitted for possible nomination are unknowns. But this was fun too.
