A little boy imitates Herb Brooks’ pre-game speech to the 1980 Olympics hockey team. I can’t stop watching it.

Cute, and pretty good actually. The black pants are kind of distracting though. :)
I think it’s very good! He breathes where Russell breathes, he emphasizes what Russell emphasizes – and even his eyes … they get intense, and annoyed (“I’m SICK and TIRED of hearing what a GREAT team the Soviets have …”) Down to the tan blazer and the big blue tie, boy’s got it down.
“Tonight, we skate wif em. Tonight, we stay wif em.”
I love the little detail of the pat on the air hockey table when he enters.
Emily – hahahahahaha I know – I love how the whole room is full of hockey memorabilia.
Also, to hear him say “Soviets” with such a sneer – hahahahaha
And the last shot being a signed picture of the team after their win…genius. The only way it could have been more awesome is if the kid had plaid pants.
Hah! I saw another piece on this kid here. It has this gem:
I love his big arm gesture on “because we CAN”
Dorkafork – Oh my God, I LOVE that article – thank you for that! I love this kid!!!
Every oneya!
Yes, no plaid. I had to deduct points for that. It’s Minnesota state law.
I love how he scratches his ear, absent-mindedly, when he says, “Tonight we stay wif’ um”
AWESOME.
