   This sounds wonderful, Sheila–I’ll have to seek it out. (and btw, did you see that they are going to make an English language version, for which Jared P. is going to do a voice?)

     I think they already did an English language version? I’ll have to check – I think they’re running both versions, at least here in New York (I only saw the French language one).

     I wonder who Jared plays – I’m guessing the scruffy cop but let me check.

     and it really is wonderful. Maybe a little bit scary for kids? I definitely got scared a couple of times.

       Hmm – okay, just looked it up: Yes, both versions are playing (at least here in New York) – and I would bet the English-language version will be the one playing most other places, but we shall see.

       In all the press releases I can’t figure out what role he plays. And his IMDB page tells no tales. I’m guessing Alex the cop – although he could play Leo’s father too.

       I want to know!!

         Me, too! I did some snooping, too, but didn’t come up with any of the character lists, just the press release and English language poster.

         Very curious!

           I hope he plays Alex the cop – big role: a sensitive tough cop, who’s gruff and impatient with the little sick kid – until then they become really dear friends. VERY touching. If it weren’t animated, that would be the role he got!

           I’ll ask around – I know some friends who screened the English language version.

           Because this is Our Quest and this is What Matters.

           Yesssss

           He will be wonderful.

           1. Screwball relationship with spunky girl-reporter who gives him a hard time and yet loves him and he loves her (funny relationship)

           2. A touching and complex relationship with a kid. He starts out like, “Buzz off, kid, I’ve got a ton of problems and don’t have time for you” and they end up great friends and allies.
