My Erudite Commentary

Putin says Russia warned the US about Saddam, Iraq, etc.

Well, for 75 years we warned your asses about how Communism wouldn’t work and that it would eventually crumble around your ears. But did you listen to us???

And yet, Russia still opposed the battle of Iraq.

The press is still pissing me off:

The U.S. leader has been on the defensive at home for insisting — against the findings of an independent commission — that Saddam had links with al Qaeda

The commission found that Iraq had links with Al Qaeda. They found no credible evidence of cooperation in attacks on the US.

    Feckin’ putzes.

Ken, sometimes I feel like General Sherman: just shoot all the journalists and be done with it.

Yes, and of course there was Putin’s opposition to the war in Iraq. Ridiculous.

I have written about this on my own blog, most recently today.

If the 9/11 Commission says there is no connection between Saddam and 9/11, why did Iraqi Fedayeen Saddam Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Hikmat Shakir meet 9/11 hijackers Khalid al Midhar and Nawaz al Hamzi at the airport in Kuala Lumpur on 5 January 2000, then escort them to the 9/11 planning meeting held in Kuala Lumpur with Ramzi Binalshibh, Tawfiz bin Attash, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?

Did the commission not hear about this? Perhaps they also did not hear about the Nov 2002 newspaper article in Baghdad that describes the Iraqi ambassador to Pakistan as “the intelligence officer responsible for the coordination of activities with the Osama bin Laden group at the Iraqi embassy in Pakistan.”

Or perhaps they did, and simply formed their conclusions based on their partisan political agenda, rather than the documented facts.
