Always vote for Hope.
She has my vote.
Wasn’t it Bill Clinton who said, “I still believe in a cat called Hope”? Something like that, anyway.
The fact that her name is Hope (I didn’t name her – she came that way and she was old enough I didn’t feel right about changing it, although I wasn’t crazy about it at first) is just too perfect.
She looks like a strong character. I’m in the UK but would certainly vote for her if I could!
I believe she was just staring intently at the wind billowing at the curtain. But she looked so future-bound, it was hysterical.
I remember when you had the fire and she was missing. My heart stopped. And here she is, gorgeous as ever. I wish I could vote for her. I really do.
She’s the best. This is her favorite blanket. It’s been in winter storage for months. She hasn’t seen it in months. I took it out, she saw it, and – no word of a lie – sat straight up, staring at it. I put it on the bed, and she immediately walked onto it, burying herself in it, kneading her front paws into it, head down, purring so loudly that I walked out of the room to give them privacy.
Her look is reminiscent of Washington crossing the Delaware.
hahaha You are so right.
To quote Hamilton the musical:
“It must be nice
It must be ni-ice
To have Washington by your side …”
Sheila, thank you for your response. I can almost hear Hope purring from up here in NH! She is a truly beautiful cat. I think my three would love her. I know I would.
