Every time I walk by the Warwick Hotel, like I did yesterday, I take a moment to say hello to the ghost on the sidewalk.

And that ghost is everywhere and he never left. Back when I first started to discover Elvis, this photo used to be one of my favourite. He looks larger then life standing there in the centre and illuminated by those lights.
Larger than life – but also totally human. His beautiful gift as a performer/man.
I love that you love this photo too, Johnny!
Thank you Sheila! Ever since I found this photo online, I’ve wanted to know what you would think of it: https://sun9-27.userapi.com/c858228/v858228815/137d3/T2qkByLIX_A.jpg
Goodness – I haven’t seen that one before! Amazing. What year is this? 1955?
I’d say 1952-1953. It looks like a school trip (is that a ID badge?). What I like the most about this photo is that even though it’s before all the fame, it’s like ELVIS PRESLEY was already there.
Great shot from the late Al Wertheimer. I love your shots also in the wake of Elvis.
