Review: Titane (2021)

Titane is INSANE. I can’t stop thinking about it. Body-horror but philosophical. I reviewed this second film from French filmmaker Julia Ducournau.

Thanks! The movie is wild – and super gross – there were a couple of scenes I actually couldn’t watch!! But it’s really interesting and it has a lot to say!

That was an unsettling, wicked ride. And in something like Sucker Punch, the story began as one character’s and became another’s. Somehow the ending made me think of the lines from Regina Spektor’s On The Radio :

And then you take that love you made
    And stick it into some
    Someone else’s heart
    Pumping someone else’s blood

Vincent is going to love that baby.

Hey – sorry it took me so long to get back to this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Vincent is SO going to love that baby. One of my favorite performances of the year.
