A private moment

… between Brenda and Eddie, the popular steadies, and the king and the queen at the Prom. You know … riding around with the car top down and the radio on. Nobody looked any finer or were more of a hit at the Parkway Diner …

Did you ever think you could want more than that out of life?

  2. red says:

  3. red says:

Ohh, and there we were wavin’ Brenda and eddy good bye.

Well they got an apartment with deep plush carpets and a couple of paintings from Sears. A big water bed that they bought with the bread they had saved for a couple of years. They started to fight when the money got tight, and they just didn’t count on the tears…\

Can I go on? Please, I’m dying to go on…

  8. red says:

Jean – don’t hold back!! keep going!

Mere can fill in with the cool piano solo.

  9. red says:

I can’t tell you more ’cause I told you already …

  10. jean says:

Brender ‘n Eddy had had it all ready by the summer of ’75. From the high to the lows to the end of the road for the rest of theyr lives. They couldn’t go back to the greasers, the best they could do is pick up their pieces and blah blah blah blah to get buy. And that’s all I heard about brenda and eddy and here we are waving brenda and eddy goodybye.

  11. “Oh oh oh whoa oh oh OH!”

Sorry, I just had to jump back in and get those OHs out now that the song has been playing my head all afternoon. I feel better now.

and we always knew they would both find a way to get by… Oh! well that’s all I heard about Brenda and Eddie – I can’t tell you more, cause I told you already – and here we are waving Brenda and Eddie goodbye.

    Whoa-oh. Whoa-oh.

(I got to sing that on stage with a band a couple of years ago at a open-mike night where a friend of mine was singing. That was a GREAT experience. I actually remembered all the words, too ;) )
