Heads On the Horizon

Beautiful.

Reminiscent of:

(Of course they are similar. Both posters are by Steve Franfurt. I love his visual sense.)

I have a special love for the Rosemary’s Baby poster. Haunting without seeming to try.

Have you been over to Mark’s Countdown of 100 Best Film Noir Posters at Where Danger Lives? I feel like I’m the last person to see this, but it was great to look through it all in one post. Although I have to admit that there are many international film noir posters that totally beat the American ones for beauty and style.

  2. You’ve been to this site, yes?

    http://www.filmonpaper.com/posters/

    It’s a newly-launched haven for poster art.

Kurt – no, I am not familiar with that site, but it is fantastic!

    I like this one too:

I’d never seen that Rosemary’s Baby poster. That’s got to be one of the scariest things ever. Chilling.

Tracey – I know – and the vast black space beneath with the white words “Pray for Rosemary’s Baby”.

Believe me, after seeing that image, I don’t need to be pushed to pray for Rosemary’s Baby! I’m already terrified.
