On the Cliffs of Moher

A nun hanging out at the magnificent Cliffs of Moher on the West side of Ireland, 1962.

The National Library of Ireland is on Flickr and their Photo sets are so interesting. Great captions as well, so you can orient yourself in time and place. For some reason I love pictures of old athletic teams, wrestlers and hurlers (example) … any group portrait of an athletic team from days gone by acts as some sort of Rabbit Hole to me. I can’t stop scanning all of the faces. Lots of photos like that as well, but this photo, of a nun enjoying the view really struck my fancy.
