    Newspapers rarely print anything as long as what you have said, and still have to say, about Elvis.

    Unless it’s their own multi-part investigative Pulitzer bait.

    Only a book will suffice — either a revisionist critique with lots of photos that would be newsworthy, could be excerpted in The New Yorker, and would be bought by lots of Elvis fans; or a “Julia and Julia”ish story of a blogger obsession with a cultural icon that could become a major motion picture (with a Sheila cameo as the Richmond girl).

    Either of those books would be deservedly successful.
