My parent’s house has a wood-burning stove in the living room. In the winter, when we’re visiting for Christmas or something, we’ll use an old campfire Coffee pot to make hot chocolate.
On the subject of cool stoves, have you ever seen Elmira Stove Works?
I just love all the stuff hanging on the wall. And the coffee pot – the detail of it.
Beautiful picture. I just bought an enamelware percolator for us to use when we camp, and I saw some coal stoves displayed at the Geauga County Fair…excuse me, the Great Geauga County Fair ;-)…that caught my attention. I do believe the next house (if I have anything to say about it, it’s gonna be a log house) will have either a wood or coal stove in it somewhere.
Yeah – I grew up with wood stoves and coal stoves. There’s just something about that crackling fire thru the grate window! Cozy!
Cullen – yes!!! I have heard of those unbelievably cool stoves. I loove the look of them.
