in order to form a more perfect pumpkin….
I love anyone who decides to create something like that.
(That’s an awesome site, by the way … have you ever looked through it?? Great stuff!)
I love one of the comments to that pumpkin post, it made me laugh out loud:
It almost looks like an electoral vote map after a particularly surprising landslide victory.
Neato. More cool pumpkinness here:

My friend’s brother works there, and this was the office pumpkin-carving contest for 2007. Clearly, the joint is overrun with Pumpkin Jedi, because these are ridiculously good.
I love that site. I don’t know why but I find maps to be fascinating works of art, for me at least. Especially older ones that have warped distortions of the continents surrounded by ships and ladies in hoop skirts and gents wearing powdered wigs (I hope that description makes sense to somebody). I have a few of those in my house. Here I found an example: http://www.betzmaps.com/images/e-215.jpg
I love maps like that, too!! I have one of Ireland on my wall with Lochness monsters and Lorelei and mermaids along on the borders – it’s beautiful!
oh yes, very lovely. but how much time this must have taken to cut the pumpkin pieces exactly the way they fit the borders. people who do such things are immediatly my friends.
