My dear dear friend Alexandra Billings.

And then, as if swept by an unseen hand, it came closer and friends of mine began going into the hospital. Not one or two, but eight and ten.

For all those who have passed, for the generation near-extinguished by the ravages of a plague, for those who are still missed, every single day. We remember and we still mourn.
