man..she just tells that story…its primal….and her choices are so specific and so musically illuminating of the emotion inherent in the words…im working a mixed cd of all soulful covers of the Beatles…aretha, ray charles, tina, nina,dionne, stevie, chaka..any other great soul covers of the Beatles??? let me know.
I mean, when she sings the line “i’m feelin’ down …” you just BELIEVE it. You FEEL it.
Does the eurhythmics “come together” count? Because I think it’s better than the original, frankly – and I love the original!!
