Yes – the bared tummy is adorable, I think. Amazing to think of her later image, with her smouldering half-lidded eyes … such a transformation!
There’s an unsophistication here that is appealing.
You know, she had a very innocent and vulnerable look in some of her last photos too. She really was a beautiful woman, and all the more so in my estimation when she wasn’t all prettied up.
I know! I love this photo because it almost could be a Polaroid snapshot taken by a boyfriend of his sweetheart on a beach picnic or something … she doesn’t look untouchably glamorous – just a pretty girl, enjoying herself.
