Sam Shaw’s artistry: Marilyn Monroe

Ceci – my dear friend whom I have never met – counts this as her favorite photo of Marilyn (am I right?)

It’s mine as well.

I was waiting for this one!!! :)

You are right, Sheila, it is my VERY FAVORITE pic of Marilyn’s. Can’t get enough of looking at her eyes… that look, for heaven’s sake…

Thanks for posting it, Sheila dear. Marilyn’s sight always helps me through things, and this picture in particular has been with me through the last 25 years! It comforts me, I don’t know why. Marilyn’s magic? Shaw’s magic? Both?

It’s just that look on her face – I can’t even put a name on it. It’s almost embarrassed. There’s something very vulnerable there. That’s a tribute to her openness but also to the relationship she had with him, that she would let him see that.

Sheila ~ Hello and thank you for posting this stunning photo of Marilyn. I think I’ve never before seen it.

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile and feel rather shy about posting, because you don’t know me at all.
But after a while it seems wrong to continue reading Without making comments. Do you understand?
I think I came here via Tracey’s blog, if memory serves.
